Decorative & Stamped Concrete | Milwaukee, WI

Decorative concrete is one of the many new ways to add curb appeal to your home, and in a way that requires little to no maintenance. Decorative concrete patios, walkways, driveways, pool decks and more can give your house what it needs to really stand out. Results from using one or both of these techniques can be unbelievable and completely transform the look of your home.  Whether it is new construction or you are replacing existing slabs, our contractors can give you the aesthetic you are looking for!

Colored Concrete

Staining concrete is the easiest method to give your home that extra, eye-catching element. This process can give you beautiful, rustic earth tones or bright modern colors that pop, and get you away from the boring gray color. Staining can be done to existing concrete surfaces or on new construction. Depending on what kind of color you are looking for, there are two main methods for staining concrete: acid stain and acrylic stain.

Acid-based stains work by etching the surface of the concrete, allowing the stain to react with the chemical compounds in the concrete creating a permanent color change. Most acid-based stains are limited in color to earth tones, but can give you beautiful results that look like tanned leather or terra cotta walks.

Acrylic-based stains come in a wider variety of hues and can even come in metallic tones. These stains are also permanent, and can range anywhere from translucent to opaque, depending on the manufacturer and product chosen.

Both of these options will not hide flaws in your concrete. Because stains soak in to your concrete and do not sit on top like paint, any patches or cracks will show through the stain.

Stamped Concrete

Unlike staining, stamping concrete can only be done on newly laid concrete. A stamp is laid onto fresh concrete, creating any number of patterns or designs. From making your walkway look like brick or making your concrete patio look like wood, these stamps can add a dramatic flair to your home. Creating these textures can give you any aesthetic you please, and our contractors can walk you through every step of the process to ensure you are getting the look you want.
